The Silhouette 17 has a huge following in Europe, a small number were imported to the USA. This factory built MK3 model was 100% re-built in 2017 and used for the 2018 Race to Alaska. Every single item on the boat is new, all standing and running rigging, winches, paint, sails, everything. The boat is on the cover of Small Craft Advisor magazine Jan/Feb 2019. I wrote an article outlining the restoration for the same magazine that appeared in the July August 2020 issue, page 22.
