Another eBay purchase this time from Baltimore, MD. The story I was told is that she was sailed into the marina then abandoned. The marina got her via a mechanics lien and I purchased her cheap. My gas to drive her home was more than the purchase price! This boat also sat in a field waiting for me to get to her for about 4 years.
Having sailed tons of "around the buoy races” I now have an interest in small boat adventure races. I plan to use this boat for the R2AK (Race to Alaska), and the Everglades Challenge. In fact, I hope to have her ready for the 2018 R2AK which starts in mid-June. Due to interest in the re-fit form online forums I also have a blog which I will attempt to chronicle the progress.
